We are suppliers of Small Wind Power systems, from 2.5 kW to 50 kW, for domestic households, schools, higher education sites, community centres, farms and businesses. The amount of energy being generated from renewable resources is steadily increasing in the UK. The DTI estimates that by 2050, up to 6% of the UK's power requirements should be provided from small wind energy generation. This is an opportunity for many in the UK to help in tackling climate change by generating their own power.

Your involvement
Anyone with the space to site a small wind turbine can generate their own electricity from wind power.
There are two basic systems available for using wind turbines to generate electricity - stand-alone or grid-connected.
Stand-alone wind turbines have long been used to generate electricity for charging batteries, usually in remote locations where
there is no mains supply. This could be a boat, a caravan, island community, remote farm etc.
Grid-connected wind turbines have their output directly connected to the existing mains electricity supply, which means that the
energy produced by the turbine can reduce the energy drawn from the supply. If you produce enough energy, then it is possible to
export energy and sell it to the electricity supplier.
The DTi is keen to promote renewable energy in the UK. It is possible to get grants to help cover the cost of installing a system, depending on the size of the installation and the size of the organisation requesting the grant.
Requirements
There are four requirements before installing a wind turbine :
We are accredited installers under the Low Carbon Buildings Programme scheme, accreditation number 2142379.
We are also accredited installers under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme. Certificate no: MCS 1017 - BRE Certification Ltd. 07/12/2007
We are also members of the REAL Assurance scheme. More details of this scheme are on the Real Assurance web-site. |
Services
We provide a full range of services, including pre-installation and post-installation. We can help you on all of the four steps outlined above. We can help you decide on a package, advise on siting and installation, perform a site survey and advise you on dealing with the planning authorities and electricity companies. We can install the wind turbine for you and then provide you with post-installation services such as maintenance and repair.
Contact us
We are based in South Gloucestershire, close to Bristol. From our base, we cover the whole of the UK, but tend to concentrate on the South West of England.
